Finesse your kids fine motor skills by asking them to build a basic LEGO cube. Then get their whole body active with challenges that require coordination, speed and balance!

Step 1
First, ask your children to build a cube out of six LEGO bricks. Take a look at the picture to help.
Step 2
Experiment with different ways of handling the cube. They could try balancing it on their head, rotating it behind their back, or throwing and catching it. How about holding the cube under their chin, or tossing it from one hand to another? Count how many ways there are to hold the cube.
Step 3
Introduce an element of competition by timing some of the activities. For example, how fast can they build a cube? How long can they balance it on their head for? Or how many times can they catch it?
